The night sky immured;
Starless abyss foretold
The fate of flesh
Scattered by nemesis

Old days terror, hunger
Beyond the beast--
Of ancient race
And primordial desire

From the fall of Babylon
To the shadowed last times,
Doom stalks the haunts
Of fear and blood.
